My penance

I was chastised for my lack of posts, so here goes. . .

I volunteered for another event with the Chemistry Club. I'm going to do the "Kids in Chemistry" even on the fifth of March. I'm going to make some polymers, which is fun to look at and relatively easy to explain. It shouldn't take too much work on my part. I am going to be the one emailing reminders, but that's about it. Hopefully.

I got my tests back. A 93% on the quantum mechanics, and my teacher wrote "A treat to have you in class" on the top of my paper. I can't help it, I'm just that wonderful. I got a 79%, though, on the inorganic chemistry test. I know, I should've done better, but I concentrated too much on the quantum. Don't worry I'll do better on the final.

Ooh, y'all should join goodreads.com , and look for me there. We can compare books! Super Cool!

This weekend will be full of homework, test prep, lab work, lab writing and one chem club party. Yay for my one break this weekend (not counting this). I'm actually kind of excited. Three weeks of school left. Then my bro is in town for evaluation week. Then I get to visit E-town and P-town. I look forward to it immensely.

Oh, and my mother sent me the best package ever. If you read this, ma, thanks.

Tests done, Lab reports, not so much

I did alright on Quantum, but I biffed two of the nine questions on inorganic. I'm kinda pissed about it, too. Fuck. And the prof is so great, that we got to listen to lecture after our test. on LCAO-MO. So, yeah, it was interesting and all, but, come on, we just had two tests in a row.

Oh well. Going to New Orleans in a month and a half, but have to fundraise until I leave. I've got a bed buddy all picked out, and that's not creepy in the slightest, I promise. I only creeped her out a little when I asked her. Two people to a bed, four to a room, five rooms from Evergreen. I'm so excited about it. I've got to represent myself well to graduate schools, so I can get my foot in the door. I'm so tired right now, though.

I got an ironing board, iron and a giant box of brownies in the mail today. yay mom! I should really send her a link to this page. She would (hopefully) be amused. I know I'm not normally this coherent when I talk to her. Or anyone. And that's kinda sad, cause I'm not to coherent as it is.

I work on Saturday for eight hours, then J and E and I are going to Ikea. Because E is planning on being very amused by J and myself at Ikea. You just can't help being amused when J and I go out. and I is me, not someone who's name begins with I. just in case you didn't know.

I should do some organic chem now. oops. there's the phone, and it's the Lamb's. I love them, and I can't wait to see them.

YAY!

whoa

To further indicate how too busy I am, I had a ten hour day today. at school. a test tomorrow, a candidate in town that I have to take to dinner, a test the day after, another dinner, and then a busy friday, that's not really friday, because I work an eight hour day on Saturday. Dear God.

Seriously, though, five hours in the lab this morning, five hours at the CAL. I slept for six hours last night, although three hours of that was all nightmares about chemistry lab. yeah. That is how much I love chemistry, I have nightmares about it.

Oh well, though, I'm watching the Westminster Dog Show. I like dogs. It's the sporting category right now. I like retrievers, and spaniels and pointers. i miss having a dog. Dogs are great.

I should really study now. It's quantum mechanics tomorrow. I need to memorize equations, for energy, Bohr radius, i should probably relearn my trigonometry identities. Or i could just watch a dog show and go to bed. difficult choice. . .
